History

In 1982, my father Elie Estephan decided to control his own destiny and established Royal Cabinet Design Company. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for woodworking are what inspired him to take a leap of faith and begin his own business. He packed up his table saw, joiner and hand tools, purchased a modest 1000 square foot building and called it Royal Cabinet Design Company. My father and I worked alone in the newly formed company for two years in addition to his full-time job and my full-time school schedule. In 1984, my father decided to make Royal Cabinet Design Company the sole means of providing for his family. His leap of faith continues to inspire me today.  

During the next decade, the company experienced many changes and continued on its path of steady, sustained growth while staying true to its dedication of producing the highest quality custom products for its customers. As I worked alongside my father, I learned the trade as well as many valuable skills that we still utilize today. I earned my undergraduate degree in finance from Cleveland State University. The strong work ethic that was instilled in me from a child compelled me to continue on my educational path as I earned an MBA in 1994. Understanding the balance between quality woodworking and education is what gives Royal Cabinet Design Company its competitive edge.  

In 1994, we expanded our operations to a larger 12,000 square foot facility. For the next 12 years, Royal Cabinet remained focused on growing its customer base by continuing to provide the highest quality products and exceptional service.

In 2006, we moved into our current 35,000 square foot location, increased our labor force, and added the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Royal Cabinet’s success is based on all of the experiences we have encountered for the last 26 years.

In 2020, we expanded our space once again into a 65,000 square foot production facility, ultimately increasing our millwork capacity tremendously. The leap of faith that my father took in 1982 still continues to inspire me today, as we look to continue our path of growth in the future. The combination of the latest technology, quality craftsmanship, innovative design solutions, and above all, a strong work ethic, separates us from the rest. I am extremely proud to be a part of the history of this great company and look forward to the endless possibilities for Royal Cabinet Design Company in the years to come.
